Directorate of Lighthouses & Lightships The Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships, a subordinate office under the Ministry of Shipping, has recently issued a job notification inviting applications for the post of Technician. Educational Qualification:
- Technician (Electronics):
- Essential: Candidates should possess a Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics from a recognized institution or an equivalent qualification.
- One year of experience in the installation and maintenance of wireless transmitters, receivers, aerial systems, and associated powerplant.
- Desirable: Experience in handling microwave equipment is desirable.
Age Limit (As on 15 September 2023): 18-27 Years
Selection Process:
- The candidates shall be required to undergo a written examination that includes multiple-choice questions from various subjects such as General knowledge, Aptitude test (numerical aptitude, qualitative aptitude, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, etc.), and technical questions of Diploma level.
- The candidates meeting the essential educational and other qualification criteria shall be called for the written examination.
- The successful candidates from the written test will be eligible for the further selection process, i.e., a trade test that is qualifying in nature.
- The candidates who qualify in the trade test will be considered for final selection based on their merit in the written examination.
Salary: Rs.29,200-92,300/- per month
