IARI Recruitment 2023 The Indian Agricultural Research Institute, popularly known as the Pusa Institute, is India’s leading institute for agricultural research, education, and extension. Originally located in Pusa Bihar as the Imperial Institute of Agricultural Research in 1911, the institute was later renamed as the Imperial Agricultural Research Institute in 1919. After a major earthquake in Pusa, it was relocated to Delhi in 1936. The current institute in Delhi is funded and administered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The IARI played a significant role in the research that led to the “Green Revolution in India” during the 1970s.

Project: National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)
IARI Recruitment 2023 For the position of Project Associate – II, candidates must have an M.Sc/M.Tech/M.E/MCA degree in computer science/Information Technology/Data Analytics/Data Science/AI/ML/System or Data analysis, or any related/equivalent field with a first-class or OGPA > 7.5 from a recognized university/institution. Master’s Degree in the above subjects with a 4-year/5-year Bachelor’s degree is also acceptable. Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree must possess UGC/ICAR/CSIR NET/MHRD-GATE qualification or a PhD in any of the mentioned disciplines.
Desirable: It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience or knowledge in 3D graphics/animation/image processing, programming in R/IDL/C#/Python/Javascript/HTML/Android app development, cloud computing/resources/GIS tools, 3-D modeling, and Open-source Development exposure using APIs.
Young Professional – II
IARI Recruitment 2023 For the position of Young Professional – II, candidates should have a Master’s Degree (M.Sc./ME/M.Tech/MCA) in soil water conservation civil/Remote sensing/GIS/computer applications/Data Science/AV/ML/Data_Analytics or its equivalent with a first-class or OGPA > 7.5 from a recognized university/institute. Candidates should have experience or knowledge in satellite image processing, ArcGIS, Web GIS, Google Earth Engine, and programming in Python/R/IDL/database management, hydrological, crop, and pest modeling.
Young Professional – II
IARI Recruitment 2023 Candidates applying for the position of Young Professional – II should possess a Master’s Degree in Entomology/Zoology/Life Science or its equivalent with a first-class or OGPA > 7.5 from a recognized university/institution. They should have research experience in modeling insect populations, data analysis skills, and proficiency in programming languages like R and Python. Experience in fieldwork and agriculture crops will be an added advantage.
Young Professional – II
For the position of Young Professional – II, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or its equivalent with a first-class or OGPA > 7.5 from a recognized university/institution. They should have expertise in molecular biology/Bioinformatics and preferably have a working experience in field and agriculture crops.
Young Professional – II
Candidates applying for the position of Young Professional – II should have a Master’s Degree in M.Sc.(Agronomy/Soil Science) with a first-class or OGPA > 7.5 from a recognized university/institution. Experience in lab and field work, data analysis, and report writing will be beneficial.
Young Professional – I
IARI Recruitment 2023 Candidates for the position of Young Professional – I should have a B.Tech/B.Sc degree with a first-class from a recognized university/institution. Proficiency in handling GeM portal, Office files, and Project files is desirable.
Age Limit and Stipend
IARI Recruitment 2023 The age limit for Project Associate positions is 40 years, while for Senior Research Fellow/Project Associate, it is 35 years. The age limit for Young Professional – II is 40 years, and for Young Professional – I, it is 30 years. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates will be applicable.
The stipend for Project Associate positions ranges from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 42,000. For Young Professional – II, the stipend is Rs. 35,000, and for Young Professional – I, it is Rs. 25,000.
