Detailed Eligibility Criteria for NIT Silchar Non-Teaching Posts:
1. Registrar:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – Officers under the Central / State Governments / Universities / Recognized Research Institutes or Institute of national importance or Govt. laboratory or PSU.
– Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/Institute.
Holding analogous post.
– At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor with AGP of ₹ 7,000.00 and above or with 8 years of service with AGP of ₹ 8,000.00 and above, including 3 years of experience in educational administration.
– Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
– 15 years of administrative experience, out of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post with GP of ₹ 7,600.00 or above.
– Desirable: Qualification in the area of Management/Engineering/Law. Experience in computerized administration/legal/financial/establishment matters.
2. Librarian:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 points scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC seven-point scale.
– Holding analogous post OR at least ten years of experience as a Deputy Librarian in the library of a technical university, educational institute of national importance, or any other large technical library, with at least 3 years spent in PB-4 (Rs.37400 – 67000) with GP of Rs.8700/- or an equivalent post.
– Experience (supported with evidence) of innovative Library service and commitment to the computerization of the library.
– Desirable: Higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline directly relevant to Library Science/Information Science/Documentation.
3. Assistant Registrar:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA/UGC point scale with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
– Employees serving as Superintendent (SG-I) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2, GP of Rs.5400/- with at least two years of regular service or Superintendent (SG-II) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2 GP of Rs.4800/- with at least five years of regular service with Master’s degree.
– Desirable: Qualification in the area of Management/Engineering/Law. Experience of working in the E-Office system. A Chartered or Cost Accountant for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance & Accounts).
4. Technical Officer:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. in a relevant field or MCA Degree with a first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in a 10 point scale) and consistently excellent academic record.
– Employees of the Institute serving as Technical Assistant (SG II) for at least 5 years (Grade Pay 4800/-) or Technical Assistant (SG-I) with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in PB-2 with two years of regular service in the institute.
– Desirable: Work experience in relevant fields such as maintenance of scientific equipment, system administration, software development, fabrication, and support to research. Candidates with a Ph.D. in the relevant field will be preferred.
5. Technical Assistant:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – First Class or equivalent Grade in B.E./B.Tech./MCA in a relevant subject from a recognized University/Institute.
– First Class Diploma in Engineering in the relevant field with an excellent academic record.
– First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute.
– Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
6. Junior Engineer:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Civil/Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
– First Class Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering with an excellent academic record.
7. SAS Assistant:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University or Institution.
– Strong record of participation in sports and other student/event management activities during college/university studies.
8. Superintendent:
NIT Silchar Recruitment 2023 – First Class Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute.
– Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
– Knowledge of computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheets.
