TISS Recruitment 2023 To be eligible for the position of Assistant Professor, candidates must have a Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from an Indian University in the following disciplines: Political Science, Human Resource Management, Elections Studies, Electoral Management, Electoral Sociology, or Anthropology of Elections. Alternatively, candidates with an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university may also apply.

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC regulations and have published research papers and presented papers at conferences/seminars may be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET. Candidates with prior teaching/research experience and those with experience working with the Election Commission of India will be preferred.
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Political Science, Human Resource Management, Sociology, or Anthropology with a focus on Electoral Behavior, Management of Elections, Election Management Bodies (EMBs), and Management of Elections will be given preference.
Salary:
The selected Assistant Professor will receive a salary of Rs. 57,700/-.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the Assistant Professor position includes an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be sent a call letter and provided with a link to attend the online interview. The interview will be conducted in the second or third week of August 2023.
Verification of documents:
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit scanned copies of their photograph, passport, and relevant certificates to support their qualifications and experience. Original certificates will be verified for the selected candidate at the time of appointment.
